Characterization - due November 30th at 3PM

Okay Gang, here we go.......

For this blog, you are to describe a classmate or teacher using both direct and indirect characterization. You should not name the person you are describing, and please don't hurt anyone's feelings! You should write a thorough description of this person; if you're not sure about direct/indirect characterization, please be sure to see one of us well before the due date and we will help you.  This blog should be at least 300 words long.

For your response to another's writing, guess who that person is describing and provide at least one additional character trait of that person in no fewer than 150 words.

Good Luck!
Ms. Mott

  1. I can describe just about everyone in my grade easily. It is hard to choose just one, but this person is someone who you can never forget. This guy is one of the biggest fifteen year olds I or anyone has ever seen. You wouldn’t be able to miss this giant anywhere. He walks around with the meanest swag you have ever seen. He has this sick tattoo which makes him even more incredibly scary and adds to his hugeness. It is on his upper arm right where his massive bicep and triceps meet.

He is even an uncle of two which face it that’s B.A. He also has many nicknames. One of the best is Big Daddy D. I think that you can all guess why he has that name. This man child is also an Italian. He has dark skin and many think that he is black. If you think that he is only a massive man that is mean to everyone and is all tough twenty four seven, then you are wrong. He is also a very caring guy. He will help you if you fall down most likely. But, no one knows with Big Daddy D. He is a forever changing idol. This incredible individual is also athletic. He plays football as well as base ball. He usually wrestles as well (this is because only the toughest men wrestle). However, this year he quit and decided to join the basketball team.

Big Daddy D is one of my friends as well. If you aren’t friends with the biggest fifteen year old you have ever seen then I would watch your back at all times. You never know when he will strike. I’m sure everyone knows exactly who I’m talking about. If you don’t know who this is then watch out, Big Daddy D will find you to make sure you know exactly who he is.

  2. I found this blog to be extremely difficult, only because there are so many people I could have chosen from. The person that I have stuck with however, is one of my best friends. Infact, I consider him like a brother. He’s around 5’11 and weighs 156 pounds. He has a receiving hair line, already at the age of 18. He has a mean chinstrap with an okay goatee. His mustache almost connects to his chinstrap. He has the nicest bluest eyes I’ve ever seen before.

Most kids would refer to this kid or should I say “man”, as the most hilarious person you will ever meet. He makes me laugh on my worst days, no matter what. Some would also find him intimidating, since his muscles are more vascular than any road maps you’ve ever seen. Athough his biggest weakness is water. He swims like a rock and will probably drown if he’s placed in a tub full of water. He probably had the most interesting personal life you will ever hear of. But is he ashamed of this? Of course not. It only gives him more hilarious stories to tell everyone. His choice of women is very interesting, but we’re not going to go down that road, because it is a very long road.

This kid is definitely a morning person, if anything. He comes to school in the happiest mood ever. He always has something to smile and laugh about. I don’t know how he does this, because the morning is probably the worst part of the day for me. I hate waking up. He lives his life in his father’s life, he loves working with firewood and spends his free time playing softball with his family. He considers himself as an elite member of Advance Resource. He’s got decent luck with hunting. He likes to kill the small ones, so he can carry it home easier, and he considers it “better eating. His one and only love in his life is a video game, called “Call of Duty.” He plays that game just as much as he breathes. This kid is my bestfriend, just like my brother. And if you don’t know him, I feel sorry for you, because you’re missing out on a great person, as you can tell from my description of him.

    4. Brittney im pretty sure your talking about me here. I wonder how you know so much about me then I remember we knew each other at like age 3. The thing that really gave it away was the whole part on vascular road map arms and the mean chin strap. When I read what you wrote it makes me realize how much of a red neck I am and for that I thank you because some times I forget. But however there are a few things you left out like the time that me and Darien went to candy land and went ham on some lollipop kids. Darien came over to my house for the night and we needed to go to get gas on the way to the gas station we decided to stop by candy land and some lollipop kids kept flapping there gums and Darien told one he was going to break its stick. So four of its little friends attacked us and we were beat up and thrown in prison and then we waited until they fell asleep that night and came back home. Cole Griswold

  3. There are a lot of very odd looking kids in my class but there is one that makes me laugh almost every time I see him. The kid im thinking of comes to school in a leather jacket and is normally flexing and looking at himself. this kid is around 150 pounds and wares muscle shirts almost every day and struts worse than any tom turkey in the spring. He has blond hair on top and little ginger sprout red hairs on his chin. The kid im thinking of drives a big ol Cadillac with a automatic that he sais he drives 200mph every wares he goes and I think that’s why his hair is always standing strait up when he gets to school. He also thinks he is the closest thing to god he says how he is not scared of any one but and it shows because some of the females that he has dated are pushing about 300 pounds he dated these two sisters that together were almost 547 pounds he says he likes them because they are a challenge to pick up. This kid also hunts every morning and night and if he dint have school he would probably hunt all day he looks like Ivan Drogo from Rocky4. This kid also took a crap in the lost and found basket in Sidney when we were in middle school for a wresteling meet for no reason at all. He spends his spare time lifting weights and beating up little kids that talk to his girl friend. He spends his summers in a speedo at the deposit school pool.he also is 6and1 in arm wresteling with his right arm this year and the kid that beat him goes ham. He cant arm wrestle with his left arm because he doesn’t go ham. Cole Griswold

  5. For this weeks blog I am going to describe a student using indirect and direct characterization. The student I am going to describe is an ignorant male in the 11th grade class. He is tan, has golden brown hair and isn’t to short but isn’t too tall either. I believe he has brown eyes but he wears colored contacts so I’m not really sure. He usually wears a Hollister shirt and jeans and dresses pretty well however, this student gets on a lot of peoples nerves and personally I can’t stand him. He thinks he is the best at everything when he clearly is not. I hate when people think they are better than everyone else so they try to put other people down.

This person will realize in life that there is going to be a lot more to life than trying to be better than everyone. I think once he gets out of this town and goes to college, he will see that there are people much bigger, better, and smarter than him. The one thing that bothers me the most is how he acts towards his fellow class mates and if somebody tries to correct him he gets mad and tries to prove that he’s right and you’re wrong even when you aren’t.

I think this person should be treated how he treats other people. I am not the only one that finds his actions annoying and unnecessary, however he is smart and athletic, but I do not believe that is an excuse to think he is better than other people. I feel as if he comes off as annoying to a lot of the guys in our grade because he tries to tell them and show them how great he is when he is just another person in this world in reality. I am not going to say his name because I would not like to hurt anyone’s feelings, unlike him. He does have many positive aspects but his know it all attitude ruins it all. If he stopped acting like this towards other people and would help and support people instead of just criticizing them I think that would help him end up more successful in life and he would end up with many more friends.

    1. Ok this made me Laugh out Loud so hard just after the second sentence. I really like how you used the word ignorant, hits the nail right on the head. I don't have class with this so called "ignorant male" but I do believe your words. This is tricky I do have to say. Anyways back to the point, I feel as if there is a lot of tension between you and this person. If I'm wrong then there is sure a lot of hatred. Well at least you didn't talk about how bad he is in the whole blog. There are some good points, such as smart and athletic. You are correct though with the points your making.

    3. Considering that I’m in your grade, it’s pretty easy to figure out who you were describing in your blog. After the whole grade read your blog everybody laughed and thought it was pretty funny, personally I just think it’s the truth. Sometimes it’s hard to be nice about the truth and most times the truth hurts but I think you did a great job explaining the person that you did and you did a good job by being nice. I don’t think feelings were hurt especially that the person doesn’t really care about anyone but himself most of the time like you said. You also wrote that he’s very smart and I personally agree but that doesn’t make it right for him to treat everybody else like they’re below him. Everybody’s different in their own way he just has a hard time accepting the fact that he’s not the best, so it seems from your blog. But other than that, you did a great job writing your blog and you explained this person with great detail. As the whole grade already figured out, you’re writing about Zack Decker. Nice work!

  6. I am going to describe a student using indirect and direct characterization. The student I’m going to describe is friendly and always smiling. She weighs about 128 pounds and is 5’4’’ and has husky eyeballs, which are beautiful! She’s one of the strongest people I know and doesn’t let anything get to her. There’s not a time that she isn’t there for her friends. Hanging out with her is always a good time. She’s hated by plenty and loved by a few, but that doesn’t seem to bother her much.

Describing people in my grade could get interesting and ugly that’s why I chose to describe this girl because she’s my friend and there’s not much bad I can say about her. She’s down to earth and is always looking to have a good time. The amount of times I’ve seen her cry, I can count on one hand. We have been friends for about three years now and we have made great memories.

She spends her summer mainly getting hurt, physically… but she handles it pretty well and she doesn’t let it stop her, even though she has broken a few bones. She always makes a fun situation out of everything. No matter where or when you see that girl she is basically jumping off the walls. She can always brighten up your day with her stupidity and I say that in the nicest way.

She likes boy, has an addiction to Facebook and doughnuts, her one hobby is sitting in her bed waiting for someone to ask her to hangout. There are times that we fight, and don’t get along, but I’m glad I have a friend like her. I’m glad I can trust her and be able to go to her about anything. It’s nice having a friend like that, there isn’t many.

Natalia, I know that you are talking about me in your blog, because I was sitting right next to you, but either way you used very good characterization so either way I would have known this was about me. Thank you for all the positive comments and the negative ones were funny. I am glad that this is how you see me and you are pretty much right on about everything in your blog. I am sure many people knew who you were talking about because you had such great detail. The funniest part of this blog to me anyways is when you said "she's hated by plenty and loved by a few" because it is true. But I choose it to be that way because I don't care what people think of me. Nicely done. (:

  7. This blog is pretty easy. I enjoyed it because it was easy yet a challenge. She’s about 5’ 6”. She has brown hair with blonde in it. She has brown eyes and freckles.

She loves animals and reading. She was in a group with me and one other. She was my first friend when I first came here. She is very very smart and intelligent. She likes jewelry, whether home made or store bought. She also likes lotions with a sweet smell. She’s always there when I need her and when I don’t. she makes me smile.

  8. For this week’s blog, we have to describe someone using direct and indirect characterization. This is sort of a hard blog to do because there are so many people and teachers I could describe that are in my grade and that teach at Deposit High School. Describing people could be interesting and ugly at the same time.

The person I am going to describe is one of my friends. She is in 11th grade and is probably around 5’6-ish. She has redish hair now, but it used to be brown and she has brown eyes (I think). She is very nice and easy to talk to and is down to earth. She goes to Boces in the afternoon and is taking the class Child Development. She takes child development with another girl in 11th grade. After I say this, many people will probably know who this person is, but this person likes the music group Big Times Rush. Her favorite person out of this music group is Carlos.

She is in many of my classes this year since we are both going to Boces. She is in my English class, my PE class, my study hall, and U.S. history class. There is nothing that I can think of in my opinion I could say bad about her. She goes to youth group with I think another girl in my grade. He has a thing for a guy named Tanner. She has had a thing for him since like eighth grade. He also goes to youth group.

Everyone who read this probably knows who this person is. This was a difficult blog to do, but I got through it and I hopefully described this person thoroughly so other people can tell who I am describing using direct and indirect characterization.

    1. Hey Rachel, you had very good descriptions of Katrina Lester. I’m 5’3 not 5’6, don’t worry Rachel people do that all the time don’t get upset. At Boces I take Early Childhood Education. Wow you got a lot of things wrong about me I have blue eyes, gorgeous, don’t worry I see how it is we are friends and you don’t even know what color my eyes are, alright I’ll remember that! Well you got one thing right I do love Big Time Rush, Carlos and Tanner! You Might know stuff about me cause I have liked Tanner since the eighth grade. We do have all the same class together. We also go to Boces together because we sit near each other. Let’s just say English is the most boring out of all the class we have together! The best class we have together is study hall with Mrs. Wehrli. I Characteristic you might not know about me is I’m very boy crazy.

    2. Hi, I think you did really well at describing Katrina, Rachel. I figured out who you were describing as soon as I read child development and red hair. I always realized it was Katrina after you mentioned Carlos from Big Time Rush. It always made it very easy when you described all the classes you two shared, since I’m also in many of the same classes with you both. I also agree that Katrina is very nice to talk to and down to earth. Mentioning her thing for Tanner and attending youth group also gave it away for me. I believe you did a wonderful job and describing Katrina without saying who she was.

  9. For this blog we have to describe a person in 11th grade using indirect and direct characterization. The person I'm going to describe is about 5'3 she has brown hair and brown eyes, and she is very pretty, she has a boyfriend in 12th grade, she is very funny, she's always making jokes and making me laugh .
I have a lot of classes with her this year and i think we became better friends. the classes I have with her are chemistry, health, English, social studies, and my favorite class with her is geometry. I'm pretty sure if she read this she would know who she is.
In geometry we have the best times because we talk in class and never get in trouble, she also makes my days a lot better in that class because she picks on me when I laugh because I'm not loud like her and interrupt the class, and she even has a best friend in that class named Ryan (she really doesn’t like him because he yells at her).
I feel like I could talk to her if I needed her. And I will always be there for her. sometimes if I’m mad to get me to smile she likes to say “ her name is shanaynay and it rhymes with ______” I’m pretty sure she would laugh when she sees that. She is also really good friends with my sister
In social studies I always bring her food and I guess everyone else because they ask for it but sharing is caring.
In chemistry she is in my group for labs her and my sister they always pick on me because they are mean, but it still makes me laugh.

I believe you are talking about Bridget Smith in this blog. Considering that I have a locker in between you two this wasn’t too hard to figure out. You saying that you were in English class together also led me to think it was Bridget because I am also in that class, so I know who’s in there. I also did knew that you guys had Geometry together because you always bring food for her in that class .The only thing that would have made this blog easier to figure out was if you said something about the many sports that she participates in. Good job describing her using direct and indirect characterization, I had no troubles figuring out who it was.

  10. This blog is about one of my friends what I have been friends with ever since Pee Wee football. He is about 6' tall. He plays football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite number is 22. We played football ever since we were little and are last year of football together was in the sixth grade because his school did not have a Modified Football program. Se he had to wait until the ninth grade to play football for the Deposit-Hancock Modified football. When I played basketball in seventh and eighth grade. We played his team when I was in the eighth grade I was so pumped because I got to play against him for once, but I could not play in that game because I was injured. I was so mad because he has always been on my teams and for once the one and only time we played against each other I could not play.

This person mostly wears his Nike t shirts, jeans and his Carolina’s to school because he needs them for BOCES. He has mostly all Nike shirts but some days he will wear the red, gray, and black Nike Shox that he bought for school. He sometime will wear his Nike sandals.

We both love football and want to go to college to play football. We have played since we were very young as long as I can remember we have never been small we have always been some of the biggest kids on the team. Pee Wee football with all of my friends was the best time of my life i wish we all could go back and start all over again.

We both like the same thinks Nike, football, four wheeler riding, and pretty much just having fun all together. The person birthday is on July 22nd.

  11. If there would have to be one person in my class of 2014 that I could describe the best, it would have to be the giant man nicknamed Bones Jones Jr. You would know if he was walking your way because with each footstep that meets the ground it ferociously shakes the ground. As huge as I am, I am scared of this one man. He has the blondest hair, his walk has swag, his braces shoot lasers, and his eyes could pull a woman in from a mile away. He is about five feet ten five and wears this hollister sweatshirt everyday with orange lettering. Not only is this man eating bear pig the meanest man alive, but he tries his hardest to help others in need. He is always messaging other women on Facebook telling them how beautiful they are even if they look like the nearest pile of dog doo doo. That is what every woman would love to hear to help their day go by! Although that he can be nice, I suggest that no one messes with this highly trained deadly weapon. Remember he is in our class, classmates, so at all times watch your back!

  12. This week’s blog was a little tough for me, because there are so many students to choose from. For the blog I am going to use direct and indirect characterization. The student I am going to describe is very smart and loves to play basketball. This person and I where not always great friends, but over the last few years we have became real good friends. This person is a male with dirty blond hair, and is around 5’10”.

This person was a wrestler up until 7th grade. He then decided to start playing basketball a few years later, and played for the first time in 10th grade. It was his first year and he wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. This person played almost everyday during the summer to get better. This person improved in basketball greatly in one summer it was very surprising. This shows how he has character and is hard working when he wants something. This person recently got injured right before his favorite sport, which he also worked very hard for. A lot of people on the basketball team felt bad for him because of how hard he worked. Although he can’t play he still comes to every practice and watched until he is back. This also shows how he can be every dedicated to something.

This person is also smart but sometimes his grades don’t reflect that. He gets good grades without really trying. He also is very hard working outside of sports. He works at restaurant Koo Koose Grille. . He has been working there for along time and does a lot of thing from cooking to cleaning and doing the dishes. He works at this restaurant on his spare time making some extra money to buy a car instead of driving his no power steering datsun truck

  13. The class of 2014 is a very unique class with an odd mixture of kids. Everyone is unique in their own way but there is one kid out of all that I would call “special”. This kid is about five foot ten inches and weighs about 214 pounds. He has black hair and dark skin. He is the biggest kid around he is so huge he scares Chuck Norris. He has dark skin and usually wears cut off muscle shirts because he is too huge to fit in anything else. One of his famous nicknames is bloodbath. Bloodbath’s back is so huge that when he flexes it looks like the Catskill Mountains. Bloodbath happens to be one of my best friends he is more like a brother to me. I believe everyone in the world should fear this kid. He is the offspring of Kimbo Slice, Jon “bones” Jones, and Chuck Norris.
The reason I say this kid is so “special” is because of some of the things he does. He can never make his mind up as to what to do. One minute he is mad, one minute he is sad, and the next minute he is happy. I tell him all the time that we all know he is gay and that it’s fine to just admit it but he never will. I mean maybe he isn’t gay but I think he is. He happens to be sitting next to me at this very moment. If you don’t know who I am talking about by now then you have probably are blind and deaf. If I had to choose one main characteristic to describe this kid my final word would be Italian.
You all should know who I am talking about by now. If you don’t I really feel bad for you and I feel like you belong somewhere along the swamps in Louisiana where they are all dumber than a rattlesnake eatin a pile of dog crap.

  14. This week’s blog I will be describing and student from our English class. She has blond hair blue eyes. She is 5’6, usually wears boots sweaters and jeans. This student is very smart she made superior honor roll. This girl goes to boces for health and science.

When we go to boces she usually sits in the front with her sister. She does not like to read, unless it is a good book. She is part of the class of 2014. She is in B block p.e class, and C block U.S History. She is in D block anatomy and physiology

She loves blue finger nail they are chipped! She is very funny and comical she is the best to be around She is amazing to be around. She is one of the smartest people I know. She likes to play sports, and listen to music. She wants to be a nurse when she is older and wiser. She pretty much hates school, even though she is very good at it unlike me. She has two sisters and het birthday is August15, next year she will be turning 18.( she old X D).

This student is the smartest I know I so glad I met her in the fourth grade when she moved her. She is easy to talk to. I pretty sure after I described her you all can guess her. With one description I bet I could have guessed her.

    1. Katrina,

I think the person you are describing is me, Rachel Grausgruber. I knew who you are describing because I was sitting right next to you when you were writing this blog! You are right when you said that I like to wear jeans, boots, and sweaters, I am smart, and that I go to BOCES for health science. We have classes together and the best one is study hall! The worst class we have together is English- it’s so boring. But my Birthday is August 16th- don’t worry…I will remember that you got it wrong! :) And yes- I will be 18 in 8 months. Thank you for all the positive comments that you described about me. You are a good friend! I can’t think of any other character trait about me. I guess one thing is that I like to play sports even though I don’t play any sports in school.

  15. The person I am talking about is a shorter lad. He is pretty stocky and loves to be right at all times. Also he is very destructive even know he doesn’t mean it. He is very rough on everything that he even comes close to. When he plays your game system your controller will make a bad noise or be broke by the time he is done playing. Also he had a beard at 14, arm pit hair at 11 and more leg hair then a 40 year old man. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He will soon be driving a Dodge Dakota that will probably be wrecked or broke by the time he graduates. He also will ask you to drive his vehicles, and if you say no you bet you will hear let me drive, or I can drive. The one time he was allowed to drive a four wheeler he went down the pipe line at probably 55 to a barrel role to a concussion.

He is also a funny guy. He is one of his own breed. Although he hunts a lot, he is really a member of the animal abuse and anti hunting program. He a pet deer and loves to play with him every day. He has also named it Jimmy. The things he does with this deer are crazy things to talk about. But he is a very loving owner and takes good care of Jimmy.

So as you see, he is a person that everyone knows and if you don’t, you don’t know him.

For example, all the guys got together and went camping and Dawson decided to come down and ruin what we were doing because he decided he would steal your four wheeler. Good times. That was a pretty good night though. Even though we had to wake up the next morning and go to baseball practice, and I wound up gluing my leg back together after practice. We should all together again and create some new memories. Well I am almost at my mark for words, so my name is Scott Bowie and I am a student of the Deposit Central School district.

This person is a good guy who is about average height and I am pretty sure that he wears a white shirt with a tie almost every day. This person watches a lot of movies and only uses Netflix. This person is easy to relate to because he is pretty much a teenager himself which is why he is a great guy.

This person has taught me a lot of things however most of those things went right over my head. But the best thing about this person which is pretty much what he is known for is his great beard, and I guess some people have named his beard Grizzly but I have never heard anyone say that so whatever I guess. And if you heard the word which is not bird then you heard that a teacher got hit in the face by a pie, and what me and one of my friends came up with is that if this person that I am describing got the pie to the face then he would look like Santa Clause because his beard is so thick. I think that would have been awesome to see but it didn’t happen so I guess we will never know if he would have looked like Santa Clause.

But this person is a good guy so yeah, and for the record the person that I am describing is not Patrick Brown so don’t think that it is him because it is not. And if you do not know who it is by now then you need to get out more often and meet this person because if you don’t then I can safely say that you haven’t even lived. And now that I just did that paragraph I am now over 300 words so mission accomplished.

  17. The person I am writing about is one of the funniest goofiest kids I know he is my best friend I have known him ever since pee wee football. He has always has a big head I remember his favorite number use to be 62 in football but ever since we got in high school they didn’t have 62 for football so know he is 63 I would have to say that is his new favorite number.

This person I am describing love the sports football wrestling baseball and he even admits the he likes watching basketball but not really playing it. He also love trucks four wheelers and well mudding. He like to come over to my house because there is a lot at my house you can do we can go mudding we can play basketball wrestle play catch with a baseball. Even though he beats me in every wrestling match we have I beat him every basketball game we play ever since I got good.

The kid I am describing is my best friend he is funny goofy and he has a big head like I said before he has curly hair. He loves to play football wrestle and play baseball and basketball occasionally. I always have my best of times with this kid because he is with me when ever we decide to do something stupid. I remember when we went to wal-mart and walked around playing with all the toys just making a mess of everything. We would go and look at all the cool electronic things then we would meet up with my mom to check out. As my mom is checking out we went and sat down and and just started saying hi to people. So this one lady stopped and asked do I know you? We said no were just saying hi to everyone so we went on and had like a 7 min conversation with this person. So this kid is 6 foot tall and full of sqautch.

  18. It’s hard to describe one person for this blog. The person I chose for this week’s blog is roughly about 5”2 MAYBE 5”3, possibly 5”1. She has long luscious brown hair that always seems perfect. She usually doesn’t scumbag it, she dresses nicely. We became friends in the 5th grade and have gotten better over the years. She loves to ball and was almost out of the season because of a little accident. This baller wouldn’t know what to do with herself if she were to be out. We have the same colored notebook for math. It’s purple, even though her favorite color is blue, sometimes purple.

This chick is super fly with her permit. She got her permit on August 5th of 2012. She lives pretty close to the school. Sometimes we meet each other at the corner. Her boyfriend has massive muscles. She and her hulk boyfriend are a cute couple.

She plays a lot of sports and is a smart student. She has made every type of honor roll. She was captain for field hockey and basketball. If I were you I would listen to her, she has a sick nasty attitude. She can be nasty with her stick work, her shooting skills, and swinging a bat.

She can be sarcastic and funny. Sometimes I just want to punch her… Just kidding! She knows I love her and if I did punch her she would laugh and then try to punch me back, but I know she wouldn’t. We have had problems with snapping gum in class. A certain sub yelled at us all day for snapping away. We have a lot of classes together and it’s awesome! I believe she was class marshal either once or twice in middle school. Middle school, we had math together and we would get in trouble and have to do push ups. I guess you could say if this girl and I were to be together we could be trouble, but that’s okay!

  19. For this weeks blog we are to describe a classmate or teacher using both direct and indirect characterization without naming the person. Well the person I'm going to write about stands about 5 foot 9 inches and has dark colored hair with a very powerful beard. What ive noticed about this person is that what he does when he is focuse. That is, he twirls his little pubic looking facial hairs and plays with them. Other then that this person is very smart and respectful and always knows what to say. I always seem to goof around with this person but never in a mean way always a funny way. His voice makes me laugh especially his laugh makes me laugh out loud so hard. With that being said this person is also a teacher and good one at that. With that all being said I'm going to end this blog with a good bye and have a great weekend.

  20. This week’s blog was to describe someone teacher or student but not hurt their feelings. This was very hard to choose because I could pick some many people, but I will choose this one person he is maybe 6 foot tall about 220Lb’s plus a bag of chips haha. I love this kid he comes with me when I go hunting and trapping, and when he doesn’t come it seems I never get anything, but when he shows up I get something . We always go to the garage and skin it and I plug my iPod in and listen to good ol country music. He loves Nike sometimes where’s Under Amour and it’s generally camouflage. When where not in the woods or at practice he comes over and we play cabelaes 2013 or watch ESPNU college football. This year we planned on winning sectionals but it didn’t turn out the way we thought it would our senior year hopefully will be a lot better. This kids nickname is sqwatch and he differently is for example during wrestling practice he had to lose weight and after eating spaghetti he took a 2 Lb poop now talk about crazy yeah ridiculous. Sqwatches mom be for I forget makes the biggest, best and most chewy soft cookies know to mankind. Sqwatch is one of my many friends but he is one that I can trust and is awesome I could tell him anything. I enjoyed this blog for this week and glad we got a chance to talk about a friend get a good laugh and enjoy the weekend. -Marcus Shaver

    1. Marcus you described Dan Babcock better than most people could. I would have to add the fact that he will eat everything in sight. If you have food and this Squatch is within 100 feet you better expect him to come creeping up behind you asking for a bite. I also must add the fact that he is one of the most harmless people i have ever met but is so big that he always knocks things over and destroys them. I will never forget on the Costa Rica trip when we made him sleep on the little cot in our room because he snores way too much. Very good details though I appreciated the part about the 2 L.B. poop ha-ha. We have had some good times together boys. You can’t forget the fact that he does the worst Peter Griffin voice I have ever heard in my life but that is another reason why he is one of my good friend.

    2. First off great job on your blog this week Marcus it was very creative. My guess on the person you were talking about was Dan Babcock. Mainly because of the 220lbs, and the bag of chips because Dan loves his food. Also the country music Dan. Dan has a great taste in music and a wide genre of music to. He also is a great football player he has been playing varsity sense he was a sophomore and got pulled up to varsity at the end of his freshman year. He won an award this year for being on the line he got first team all-star. Dan worked very hard for this and stayed focused throughout the whole season even when things got rough. Dan has a great love for the sport of football and will do anything to be good at it. One of his goals is to play college football. I think Dan has a great chance of doing this and with his mind set will complete this goal. So great job on describing Dan!

  21. The person I am going to talk about is one of the guys in my class. He is six foot and one inch, he has blue eyes light brown hair. He loves basketball, he is the number one player on the team, but is to scared to dunk it. He can make threes and jumpers like a boss. He misses layups from time to time. His favorite brand is Nike he always has something on with a Nike symbol. He also has an obsession with Dom Mazetti, in his spare time he is on youtube looking him up. Which leads me to the next thing about him he lives by the motto Y.O.L.O and hes about it everyday. In case you don't know what Y.O.L.O means it mean you only live once. I don't know how he lives by it but he says it at least once a day so he must be doing it. He also likes the philosophy F.I.S.H. He has an older brother named Nate, they look a lot alike. He may live, eat, and breathe basketball but he also plays football and baseball.

    1. I think the person you are talking about is Matt Mills. He played football this year for the first time since the 9th grade. Many people know Matty-Ice but many don't. He loves basketball and he want to go to Collage to play and after he graduates he want to become a cop. I think he will do well in Collage basketball, with his dirty crossovers and the nasty jumper he has. He will do good at just about anything he does because he puts his mind to it and will not give up until he drop on the floor dead tired. He might not know but in the game of basketball he will drain one of the nastiest jumpers Deposit Central School has ever seen (besides mine). Matty-Ice is a very nice kid plus I hope to see him on the cover on ESPN and 2k19 palming the basketball.

    2. Gary,
I am first going to state that you typed a very well thought blog this week! I believe the person you are describing using direct and indirect characterization is Matt Mills. I believe this due to the all of the facts you’ve stated. Matt has an older brother (Nate) and they do look a lot alike! It seems like you and Matt have gotten closer this year which is a good thing! He lives, eats, and breathes ballin, you two have a big thing in common. I can predict that he’ll play basketball at whatever college he decides to go to. Good job describing him!

  22. Shania,
Your blog this week was pretty good. The person who I think you had described was Bridget. I agree that Bridget is funny and she can be completely random at times. It’s good that you guys have classes together and can have fun with whatever happens within your classes. It’s nice to know that she if friends with you and your sister. Bridget also has an older sister, you could try to hangout with her, but she is much older then Bridget and has two kids. Bridget seems like a trouble maker, but I don’t think she personally means to be. When you bring food into social studies, it is great, but I’m pretty sure if it isn’t Gary who is asking first, its Bridget. :D
